‘The joy of having cats is while letting in the tuxedo cat at night, you find it is a skunk you are inviting into the house.’
This happens every summer, the cats love to be outside late at night and it takes forever to get them back in the house.
It never fails, while looking through the blinds and seeing a ‘black and white’ animal, upon opening the door to allow it into the house you find that it is not a cat at all but a skunk!
The door is slammed shut before a shot of skunk odour escapes.
‘The joy of having cats is they let you know when someone is coming into the room.’
When you have cats, it is nearly impossible for anyone in the house, friend or foe, to sneak up on you.
Simply being in a room with one or more of them is akin to having a personal radar system. As soon as there is movement in another part of the house, all ears stand at attention and a multitude of feline eyes watch the doorways.
Forewarned is forearmed. Unless it is them that jump out at you.
